    Sustainability in the food and flavors industries is top of mind for everyone. But where do you start? What steps can you initially take? Where do you find the budget? What is the overall impact on your customer, your business, the planet?

    NAFFS is bringing together three food, beverage and flavor industry professionals who are modeling some of the best sustainability practices we have seen. Each will share their experiences and discuss ways to take the first steps toward a more sustainable business. Through both panel discussion and a Q&A panel, NAFFS members and attendees will learn what to focus on first.

    The 2019 NAFFS Winter Meeting will be held at the centrally located Heldrich hotel in New Brunswick, New Jersey. This meeting will provide NAFFS members and industry colleagues the opportunity to hear, first hand, where the process begins and where it may lead.

    Make plans now to attend this informative industry session. Friday, February 8th, 10am-2pm for a must-see industry panel, moderated by Sustainability Engineer and Consultant Michael Maggio. There will be networking time in the form of a continental breakfast, followed by an exciting program and concluding with delicious luncheon served with organic and/or locally sourced food items and wines.

    The West Coast Flavor Industry Forum will feature a California Roundtable format which provides a unique opportunity for all Creative, Technical and Purchasing people, as well as their associates, to participate in interactive tasting, sensory sessions and demonstrations with up to 15 suppliers to the Flavor industry.  A complete list of Exhibitors – and an outline of products to be showcased will follow.  The exhibitors represent a varied cross-section of ingredients and suppliers.

    The schedule for the day is:

    8:30 a.m.                                  -           Registration & Coffee

    8:50 – 10:10                              -           Welcome / three 20-minute sessions

    10:10 – 10:30 a.m.                    -           Break

    10:30 a.m. – 12:45 p.m.             -           Five 20-minute sessions

    12:45-2 p.m.                             -           Networking Luncheon

    The pre-event notification of the suppliers attending will enable you to plan your time for the day. The cost for the forum including exhibitor demonstrations, speaker and luncheon is:

    $85 – Employees of NAFFS/SFC/CSA Members

    $99 – Non-members

    $55 – Students (limited qty. available)

    We have a limit of 15 exhibitors. Exhibitors are limited to one (1) table on a first-come, first-served basis.

    Members of NAFFS, CSA or SFC:  $325 (includes table + one exhibitor – additional representatives can register for $85 each)

    Non-members:  $550 (includes table + one exhibitor – additional representatives can register for $99 each)

    Roundtable Rules:

    1. Prior Notice of Products - You must provide a general list of products you intend to show.  This will enable us to list these prior to the Roundtable allowing attendees to decide how they want to allot their time.  This is of utmost importance.
    2. No High-Odor Products: We will be strictly monitoring the use of high-odor products.  We reserve the right to ask you to cease showing any products found to be intensely high-odor.
    3. Electricity - There will not be availability to electricity.
    4. Registration - Your registration includes table plus one exhibitor representative. You must register additional representatives for your table as guests at $85 each (member company) or $99 each (non-member company).
    5. Table Location - Prompt reply will assure you of a table reservation ,but will not dictate table location.  Table assignment will be done to separate competing companies/products – and possible odors.
    6. Table Set-up - Company table covers are allowed, but standing displays are not allowed. 

    The schedule for the day is as follows.   Please note each session is 20 minutes.
