Come hear a grape-to-table analysis of wine flavors – the good and the bad – by Lee Raley of E & J Gallo Winery. This sought-after speaker from the largest family-owned winery in the United States and one of the largest wine and spirit producers in the world will address the technical methods and materials used in wine processing to filter, clarify and purify wine to remove cloudiness, precipitation, undesirable odors and flavors. This presentation will also address the impact of harvest time and shed some light on how flavors are formed – during fermentation, aging and exposure to the barrel.

                  45 minutes Brotherhood Educational Wine Tasting – 2 reds, 2 whites, 1 champagne, 1 cider

 

11:45-12:45 Flavor Development in Wine Production Process by Lee Raley – in Grand Monarque Hall

 

12:45-2:15    Gourmet Lunch with wine pairings in the Grand Monarque Hall
